You’ve heard of endless runners. So indie game publisher Elephant Mouse is turning that idea on its head with an endless climber. The Cary, N.C.-based publisher is releasing Twisty Sky on iOS today as a free download.
Twisty Sky requires both puzzle-solving and quick reflexes. Players climb a colorful, infinitely high tower by swiping blocks to line up ladders before the evil Goonswarm monsters get them.
The game features 25 cartoon characters that can be unlocked, each with unique visual effects, sounds, and personalities. You can play as a cute climbing dog, a helpless hen, or a slice of cake.

As the action gets more and more frenetic, players must swipe tower blocks above and below their avatar to disconnect ladders and leave the Goonswarm behind. Players can spin windmill blades, arm oversized boxing gloves, activate conveyor belts, and more to thwart the never-ending waves of Goonswarm.
“Twisty Sky engages the mind, heart, and reflexes in a fun endless climber that’s bursting with color and personality,” said Dane Baker, the CEO of Elephant Mouse, in a statement. “Pick it up and play for a few minutes, and you’ll find yourself swiping to reach the sky as you try to outrace the Goonswarm — find out how high you can climb.”
